Key West

Yes, I'm aware it has been over a week since my last post. Sorry for the delay, here are a few pics from my time in Key West last week. We had a great time there. We ate outside at 5 different restaurants, did some sightseeing, and took a ride in a speedboat around the entire island. There were definitely some interesting things to see there-drag queens, male strippers bar tops, among some other odd sites most of us aren't used to seeing in our daily life. If you are going to visit Key West you must hit up Duval St., the Southernmost point, Mallory Square at sunset, Blue Heaven restaurant and Pepe's Cafe.

My non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri...yum!

My mom and I on a dock outside of Lazy Days restaurant on Islamorada. We had this gorgeous view of the ocean from our table!

I am off to the NYC early tomorrow morning!!!! It will be my first time being any where near New York and I am ecstatic! Can't wait to share all of my big city adventures!

Love,
LST

West Palm Beach

I have been deprived of any internet on my computer for the last 3 days, so I guess I kinda have a lot to share.

First off, I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's day. I had a great day with my Mom laying by the pool and then I took her out to Kobe's Japanese Steak House for dinner (I offered to cook, but clearly she doesn't trust me in the kitchen). Oh yeah, I also woke up at 8:30am (that's super early for me) to cook her breakfast! Even though it would have been nice to have my brother and dad home too, we still had a wonderful day.

This photo of me and my Momma was taken on a self-timer, so it was kind of awkward especially since I was like 8 inches taller than her with my wedges on, but seriously, LOOK AT MY DOG. She stopped right in her tracks and looked straight at the camera when the picture was taken. Haha she's so cute!

My Mother is the best! Love you!

Then, on Monday, my Mom and I went south to help my brother move into his new apartment in West Palm Beach, FL! We are so proud of him for getting a great job down there.

Today, we ventured over to the coast and ended up on Delray Beach. It was absolutely beautiful! We had a great lunch at Boston's on the beach before we hit the water.

The water was a bit chilly for me!

Hello, Miami!

This week it's back to reality. Two weeks ago was Spring Break and last week was a short week for me since I went down to South Florida for Miami Fashion Week!

We were gone Wednesday to Sunday, making pit stops in O-town along the way.

After we arrived in Miami we did a little sight seeing around South Beach!

It is absolutely gorgeous!

These night shots didn't turn out too great considering they were taken through the car window as we were going across the bridge back to downtown Miami, but I thought they still turned out pretty cool.

And then the fun began.....

With fellow AATCC members from FSU we volunteered to help out with MFW. None of us really knew what to expect going into it, but it was a great experience!

We volunteered Friday and Saturday doing various tasks to set up the venue for each showcase. We were guided under the direction of the Catwalk Pros, a production company that specializes in the details of putting on a fashion show. We were fortunate enough to get the chance to work with awesome people in the fashion industry. We were able to get a behind the scenes look at what goes into a fashion show.

All in all, it was an awesome experience, and we got these super cute shirts so it was all completely worth it!

We volunteered Friday afternoon and we got tickets to attend the show later that evening. After a quick run through the mall to pick up some new clothes and heels we headed back to the venue to watch the show!

We got to see collections from four designers from four different countries in one showcase. MFW is international, therefore each collection had its own unique personality. The collections we saw walk the runway were: Dolcevita Cashmere from Italy, Dusko Orascanin from Bosnia, Heidi Estrada from Bolivia and Claudia Anicy Manuguian from Chile.

It is impossible for me and Amanda to be serious for more than 10 minutes. Sorry not sorry!

The show was fantastic and afterwards we got to walk around to the pop-up boutiques.

The lovely Amanda posing on the "Step-and-Repeat!"

Also, I did not get to see the Rosa Clara Bridal Couture collection from Barcelona on Saturday night, but I  am obsessed with their dresses which you can see some photos of here. They are stunning!

Hope everyone is doing fantastic!
