Weekend Shenanigans

In case you weren't aware, weekends start on Thursdays in Tallahassee. That is unless you have 8AM Friday classes, like me. Friday 8AMs are literally the devil of college classes. However, Amanda's birthday was on the 24th so we had to make a little exception.

On Thursday night we joined her for a birthday dinner at 101 in downtown Tallahassee. We all got a lil' dressed up and had a great dinner celebrating Amanda's 20th year of life and beating teen pregnancy! You go girl! Lol

Thansk for the pic, Jules!

Painting (or at least trying)

With a tad bit of inspiration and a spark of creativity (and bravery) I decided to paint a black and white tiger! This whole shading, realistic, not traced, blending, thing was new to me and it as quite the struggle. But, I must say it didn't turn out too bad!

Time to Get Rowdy

Friday night we headed out to Aj's Sports Bar and Grill for a little fun out with friends dancin' around, making fools of ourselves. We had a blast!

My Country Obsession

Ever since I was a little girl I have listened to only or mostly country music. I always enjoyed it, but ever since I moved up to Tally, the music itself and the men who sing have become an obsession. Back in October, I was lucky enough to meet the gorgeous Luke Bryan backstage at one of his Farm Tour Concerts. It was so nerve wracking, but of you don't believe me here is the pic for proof.
I put together a little video from the concert here. Sorry, video quality is pretty bad.

Anyhow, so lately I have also fallen in love with FSU alum, Jake Owen! His songs are just great and he is a very talented song writer. If you don't already, I advise you start following him on Twitter, because he loves to do impromptu Stage-It shows. If you aren't familiar with Stage-it, they are online concerts that artists can choose to do at any time for any price, straight from their house! Ever since I discovered these I haven't missed one!

I have posted the best moments from his stage-it shows on my YouTube channel, which you can find here. Also, you can access my YouTube Channel anytime from the navigation bar at the top of my blog.

Country Chic Room Decor (D.I.Y.)

So, for Christmas my awesome roomie and best friend made me this super cute accessory/clothing display! I absolutely LOVE it! She is really good at D.I.Y. crafts and knew I would especially love this one. She made a tutorial for it on her blog, which you can find here.

Thanks, Julia!

P.S. - If you were curious, I just recently bought the dress from Forever 21. :)

Tallahassee Bound!

Spring semester is about to begin again, which means all of the students are headed back to Tallahassee, including myself. I was expecting some traffic, but I was less than happy when I realized traffic was stopped for good right around Gainesville.  I called my mom and she told me there had been an accident and there were loose livestock! Sounds crazy, but if you don't believe me look here ---> http://www.wuft.org/news/2013/01/05/loose-livestock-cause-closure-of-i-75/.  Eventually, I got turned around, pulled up my GPS and headed through some back roads that eventually got me to Tally. Along the way I passed through several small farm towns. I was in love! They were all so cute. Here are some pics I snapped along the way!

I was embracing my inner country girl on this drive, and I was disappointed
I didn't have my cowgirl boots with me! :(
Gorgeous Farms up ahead and in my rear view!

Finally made it to the FL capital!

It took 5 hours to back to school, typically takes 3.5 hours, so I was pretty excited when I arrived in 'Nole Nation!
