The Big Apple!

Yesterday I returned from an incredible trip to New York City for the first time! I had a great time there shopping, sightseeing and exploring great opportunities in the retail industry. I went on the trip with a group of fellow Retail Merchandising and Product Development students and two professors who arranged meetings with retail professionals for us to attend. The first two days were filled with meetings all over the city. We had meetings with people from Marie Claire Magazine, Anthropologie, Ross Buying Office, Michael Kors, Macy's, Kohl's Design Studio and BCBG. It was an awesome experience and we also had a lot of free time to explore the city on our own.

We went through a countless number of stores, went to the top of the Rockefeller Center, explored China Town, saw the Statue of Liberty, explored the Metropolitan Museum of Art and watched the new Broadway play, Kinky Boots (which was fantastic).

Despite being slightly overwhelmed to begin with, it was an excellent trip and I cannot wait to go back!

Apparently 22 well dressed young women is quite the sight to see, and the men aren't afraid to let you know either!

On the patio of the Kohl's Design Studio. They really are the nicest people and who wouldn't want to have this view from their office!?

Taxis everywhere!

We even visited Kleinfeld's, the bridal shop on Say Yes to The Dress!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was outstanding!

Central Park

The Top of the Rockefeller Center was AHH-MAZING!

We took a cruise down the Hudson River to see the Statue of Liberty since the area is temporarily closed

Times Square was crazy!

Love,
LST
